Awesome! Its so great that you can remember all of the shows you've seen. It makes me want to go back and see if I can remember. Although I know there's no way particularly since my teens were a bit of a blur ;). This is a super cool LO! TFS
Great, great page! I realized I was really in love with my hubby (we were still dating then) when I bought tickets for Ugly Kid Joe and Ozzy Osburne in 1993 (I had never listened to heavy metal music before). I have no pictures either!!
Very cool 2 pager, like how you can remember all those concerts. Cool idea to journal your different tastes in music throughout time, something your little ones will enjoy reading in the years to come.
Wow, thats a ton of concerts. I used to love going to them and I have taken a couple kids to their first, Garth Brooks...lol....now one son is a total punker rocker and the other one listens to some very werid music that I'm sure I'm glad I can't understand the words to....OMGosh I just turned into my mom....LOL....Cathy I love your pages and your BOM pages always rock. I so need to get my behind in gear and lift you for my own pages. You come up with the best ideas.
Girl- you are a rocker. I'm embarrased now at how few concerts I've been to. And some of your bands would have been sooo cool. Louck you. Love the journaling. Love the great buttons and the woodstocky happy feel.
this is great, and your concert list looks like my "i wish" list! love how you put this all together; the journaling is very well done and i love the fun, funky flowers and buttons.
Wow!!! I've seen some of those bands, but definitely not all of them!!! You are quite the metal head Cathy!!! Awesome LO!!! I need to do something like this too!!! So cool!!!
OMG a two pager! thank goodness I was sitting down. love how you ended up doing the concerts with the torn paper. and that is a lot of concerts lady!! love your buttons on this and your toilet paper ring paint!
One for my BOM. I've been wanting to do this lo for a long time. Finally got it done. Some of this is inspired by Mom2CamiandReese (thank you!). Journaling reads: Ok, so looking back, I feel like Barry Manilow was pretty lame for a 1st concert, but at age 11, my friends and I thought he was cool. Three years later Van Halen changed my life forever. But no pictures. My 1st Kiss concert had a profound impact on me. As I stood there listening I realized that the rumbling I heard was the bass causing the ceiling of the Hampton Coliseum to vibrate. It's why I picked up a bass and learned to play! But no pics! I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn before I even knew who he was. So sad that I wasn't able to fully appreciate him. No photos. I saw the Grateful Dead just to say I did. I marveled at the greatness of Santana. And I got to meet Metallica! No pics! And just as it should be I suppose, my last true concert was Jimmy Page & Robert Plant. Not quite Zeppelin, but as close as I'll ever get, and from the 10th row no less! Alas, still no pictures. Now, 10 years later and just a week ago, I took my own daughter to her first concert - The Jonas Brothers (kind of like Andy Gibb all over again!) It was awesome to experience it with her. And I took pictures!
And the list of concerts I've been to (or that I at least still have the tickets for): Barry Manilow 11/26/1976 KC & the Sunshine Band 8/6/1977 Andy Gibb 5/1978 Van Halen 6/1/1979 KISS 7/5/1979 Ted Nugent 8/17/1979 Kansas 8/26/1979 Foreigner/Blackfoot 11/27/1979 Van Halen 7/21/1980 AC/DC 8/31/1980 Rush 5/17/1981 Van Halen 8/27/1981 Pretenders/Stevie Ray Vaughn 1984 Robert Plant 7/29/1985 Aerosmith 3/22/1986 Moody Blues/The Fixx 10/5/1986 Ted Nugent 5/12/1988 Robert Plant 7/22/1988 INXS 8/23/1988 The Scorpions/Kingdom Come 8/31/1988 Def Leppard 10/3/1988 Cinderella/Winger/Bullet Boys 4/21/1989 WASP 7/19/1989 Grateful Dead as the Warlocks 10/9/1989 Bonham 11/13/1989 Motley Crue & Warrant 12/6/1989 Joan Jett 4/12/1990 KISS/Slaughter 7/13/1990 Faith No More 7/21/1990 B-52s 7/30/1990 .38 Special 8/17/1990 Billy Idol/Faith No More 9/25/1990 Los Lobos 11/10/1990 Santana 11/11/1990 Living Color 12/3/1990 Trixter 2/6/1991 Drivin' N' Cryin' 4/27/1991 Cheap Trick 4/30/1991 Child's Play 5/17/1991 Guns N' Roses/Skid Row 6/22/1991 Queensryche 7/16/1991 Metallica 4/10/1992 Ozzy Osbourne 11/7/1992 Dream Theater 3/6/1993 The Black Crowes 3/27/1993 GWAR 5/21/1996 Pantera/White Zombie 6/29/1996 Primus 10/14/1997 Megadeth 3/24/1998 Jimmy Page & Robert Plant 7/8/1998 The Jonas Brothers 8/22/2008
