This is one of my dad's best poems that he wrote for my mom on there 50th anniversary. The poem reads as follows..

In nineteen hundred forty three
My Love, you gave your youth to me
A youth of joy and smiles and fun
And love that made us truly one

The years have added to our bliss
Each day is started with a kiss
The children came, they number nine
With traits of yours and traits of mine

We love the Lord and thank him so
His blessings seem to ever flow
I tell you now, I say in truth
I really do, I Love you Ruth

When my dad read this to my mom on their anniversary, there wasn't a dry eye in the reception area including my dad. and me now when I was typing this in
