I have a trumpet vine, I don't mind it as much as I do the stupid wisteria that I planted and will not bloom, also have a wild blackberry that I am having problems removing from a flower bed.
I think that with a little extra TLC - it could be even better. I wish I could get stuff to grow that green here. Looks so lush and full. Does the grapevine produce edible grapes?
Food waste is great fertilizer. Tell your dh coffee grounds and eggshells are great also...however, it doesn't look like you need much help growing things...lol. Love the bird bath and the fact that butterflies and bees come for a visit. Nature is my calling. Thanks for the warning about the tumpet vines.
This is what I call the jungle. It is my garden, well whats left of my garden. These vines started out as sprouts and I wanted to create an arbor around my garden. But as you can see it's gotten out of hand. Plus my hubby thinks it's a garbage dump!!! He throws his watermelon and cantaloupe rinds in there. I'm surprised I don't have watermelon and cantaloupe growing in there!! It has taken over my garden!!!! There was one vine when it started and now there are three! Trumpet Vine, Wild Grape Vine, and Honeysuckle vine. But the birds, butterfly's and bees love it!! Thinking about tearing it down and starting over, but it is really hard to get rid of these vines. So am giving a WARNING: DON'T PLANT TRUMPET VINES IN YOUR GARDENS!!! It takes over everything and chokes out all the other plants.
