Back to School 7th Grade

First day of 7th Grade
Journaling (behind photo) reads:

Jesse's first day of seventh grade was September 2, 2008. He came home a little more quiet than usual for him. Turns out he didn't make a single new friend. This has never happened to Jesse. He is such an outgoing kid that even teachers comment on how they miss conversing with him when he promotes out of their class.
Lockers, changing classes, new class schedule, and a new school more than 1 and ½ hour bus ride from our town (Bly) all combined to subdue Jesse.
By the end of the week, I was impressed with Jesse's new attitude towards responsibility. He is coming home, sitting down and getting his homework done right away, doing his chores (not complaining), and then going out to play.
Maybe he is growing up.
