Beautiful LO, I love this "what you see is what you get" concept, I might use that someday if you don't mind. I think you did a great job expressing yourself, both with words and with the look of your LO.
HEY!!I've been out for a little while and I missed your art!!You did a knock-out job on this gem!!You should do very well in the "altered/tinted" challenge...I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you win!!WOW!!!!LOVE IT!!!
What you have done with paper is so unique. Has transparent depth to it. You must have put many hours on this, I see a perfect piece, no flaws! Like a little edge here...you did really good! I hope you put in to get published some day. Your style is different and really fantastic!
I'm sure this message got thru to who ever you wanted to see it, whether it be now or later. Hang it up on your door, perhaps it will let the people who see you know you're onto them! Your "look" is definitely "direct eye contact" I felt it from here! Don't know if you've read "the knight in the rusty armor" or not...it was meant for kids...but it made a sobbing, "open up and let it out" person of me. You can't get thru the plastic, wood, or stone if its cemented to ones every fiber of being. It might be good reading material for a needy person! I love the portrayal of yourself. I sure wouldn't mess with you! You are lovelly, beautiful, and definitely do not want anyone to tell you anything but the whole truth. Your journaling is powerful! I know you got the point across! FAVES! Kind of hearing "how can I help you if you don't tell me all?" Just let it out? Am I off base?
This is a layout about the real true me. Just a few phrases people have used to describe me: (To the point; Boy, you sure shoot from the hip; Real; Tough; Aggressive; Man you are brutally honest; You wear your heart on your sleeve) I could keep going, but I think from these phrases the point comes across pretty clear-What you See is What you Get! I guess through my life, I have tried to approach people and situations with honesty and be as authentic as possible. The best self-description is: “What you See is what you get” Everyday, I try to be as consistent as possible with everyone and every situation I encounter. I try my best not to be plastic or fake, yet express the true me without having a hard heart. I included at the top on the LO, a definition of Authenticity-what I strive to be! I think the picture on the lower right, communicates a direct straight approach-straight faced and making direct eye contact with the viewer. In addition, I wanted to show the soft and fun-loving side I have when interacting with people. I hope I was able to correctly express the “Real me” in this layout. Techniques: Masking, embossing, inking, painting, stamping, doodling and chalking. The hidden journaling reads:
Some people are made of plastic. You know some people are made of wood. Some people have hearts of stone. You know some people are up to no good.
But I'm for real, I'm as real as real can get. If what you're lookin' for is REAL, then What you see is what you get.
What you see is what you get, you've found the real thing- it's the best thing yet.
Some people are made of lies. Breed to shame. But I have good intentions.
I'm for real, I'm as real as real can get. If what you're lookin' for is REAL then What you see is what you get.
