Instructions:

1. Dry brush fence and surrounding porch area (paint with flat dry brush and white acrylic paint). Clean brush while you let paint dry. Using sponge and ink, add distressing to white washed areas and shading around perch and opening.

2. Copy template(s) at 200% and cut out copy paper pieces (instructions for downloading templates are available at http://cwartz1.blogspot.com). Since no two wooden birdhouses are identical, check and make adjustments to your paper pieces. Use these to cut pieces fromyour patterned paper. Using sponge and ink, distress all paper piece edges.

3. Using GlueGlider Max, apply adhesive directly to roof and place roof paper piece in position. Next apply adhesive to two side panels - line up along bottom and sides and slowly adhere from bottom to top. Attach rectangle grassy area using same adhesive. Attach back and front panels. Adhere roof strips with ribbon adhesive aligning from outer edge inward to point.

4. Cut 8-3/4" strip of ribbon. Use cutting knife to make two small slits appox. ∏" from each edge and insert brads. Use several strips of ribbon adhesive and some adhesive squares attached directly to rooftop to adhere ribbon piece.

5. Embellish birdhouse roof using flowers, brads and ribbon - attach using adhesive squares and micro squares.

6. Embellish front and sides with stickers and other 3D embellishments. To create multi-dimensional embellishments, layer stickers onto color cardstock of choice. Trim and distress edges with ink. Use 1/16" punch to make holes for signs, then thread fibers through holes, double knot in front and trim edges. To create a glue dot roll adhesive squares between fingers and apply.

7. To create clothesline, trim two pieces of contrasting patterned paper to 4" x 1-1/4". Score and fold to 2" x 1-1/4". Cut fiber to 6" length. Knot on right end and place between wooden clip. Secure with micro squares rolled and placed on back and inside of clip. Hang faux towels (made from contrasting paper) on floss clothesline. Lightly secure near bottom with glue ring adhesive. Fan bottom edges of paper. Attach left clip to house, knot end of floss and trim.
