Just 6 days after her chin split open (9-1-05), Emery was twirling around in our iving room. She got dizzy and fell over. She went down with a lot of force and confusion, and hit her head, just above the eye, on the corner of our heavy, solid wood dining table. The moment she hit, I knew it was bad. I rushed to her, and in just those few moments, the area she hit was deep purple and growing larger by the second. I tried to offer her ice - no good. I tried to hold her - no good. After just one minute of tears, she was up and on her way again, most likely looking for more trouble. This little girl is so tough. That night I took photos of her "war wounds." Even though she is such a beautiful little girl, these photos tell the truth about who this beauty is on the inside.
