It Pours - Journaling part 2

Within days of her chin accident, Emery was pulling at a small piece of skin on her lip. Of course, she continued to pull and pick at it and it became a large, open sore. It looked as if she'd fallen or been hit in the mouth. This wouldn't have been a surprise to us. She's often injured. Emery is a dare-devil, she pushes the limits, she has no fear, and she's a bit clumsy. It's not rare to see bruises, scrapes and bumps. You'd think she was a rambunctious boy. Not so - she's a beautiful little girl, who just happens to love danger and adventure. She's often the one who pushes her older brother to try things he would never have thought of. Being between two brothers will never be a disadvantage to her. In Spanish they would call her "una picara." In other words: a rascal, mischievous, knave, rogue, playful. That definition sums her up nicely. Especially since her injuries were not totally over for that week.
