Journaling:
You are always fascinated by your parents relationship. How did they come to be, which results become who you are.
My wonderful parents Margaret and Frank Banning- met during the war torn days of World War II. They both were out with friends in a bar. My Dad's buddies decided to bet my dad that he could not get a date with the beautiful lady which was my mom. He took the bet and met the love of his life- Marriage was to last 55 years.
Soon after their wedding dad was shipped overseas where hew was a office clere he recieve this wonderful position because he was a high school graduate and he could type.
Mom stayed behind in Elkton, Marylandwhere she worked in an ammunition plant and lived in an apartment with her friends. Mom saved lots of money and they were able to purchase a trailer house to liv ein after dad came home. They purchased another home after my sister Donna was born and before I was born. We had a wonderful childhood with loving parents that started with a bet.
