Watching a lot of Animal Planet, I know that this bug is also called a Blister bug, because if you ever get sprayed by this bug when he is on you, it will produce a very nasty chemical burn.
do you ever wonder when they do this --- are they LOST when they get off 10 miles from "home"? Poor little guy... wonder if he ever saw his family again (NO I DO NOT CARE :) DANG BUGS!!) LOL
Silly bug!!!! I guess he was hitching a ride. :O) Nice that you don't have any phobias.........my only one is crowds....and I'm not really afraid....just uncomfortable in the middle of one. I was talking to my mother about it the other night and she seemed to think it might be because when I was little in South America and we went into a new village everyone would crowd around me and stroke my hair because RED seem so unusual to them......Come to think of it I don't really like people touching my hair either...... Well with the exception of Samuel my special boy.....He likes to twiddle it between his fingers when we snuggle and I indulge him.
this was a difficult subject for me to photograph because I don't have any! But I do know some people don't like the bugs, including our great leader. This is a Hawthorn Shieldbug, sometimes called the stinkbug and was sat on our car bonnet (hood) this morning, we drove for 10 miles and the stupid thing hung on all the way only flying off when we stopped!
