SHCG: You have such a beautiful family, girlfriend! I love all of the familial shots, especially the one that is shot from overhead. The bulleted journaling is perfect in this case and is, as always, fabulous. I also love the way that you mount some photos and not others. It really draws my eye to those and then my eyes flow from there. Nice technique.
SHCG: Maybe I never did type the comments, but seeing your los again triggers memories of what I initially thought about them. Mebbe early Alzheimer's is setting in... Anyway, I love the textured red cs and your journaling with hearts for bullets is oh so cute--both in style and content. I really like the overhead shot of the living room. This is a great companion page to the left side lo with nice flow and some mirrored elements. My only suggestion involves scooting some photos over a bit--Kenny & Leiva (cute couple) over to the left, the group shot next to it over to the right so that Leiva doesn't look crowded in, and the Jon & Daniel down to cover some empty space. Fantastic response to the challenge. Great use of the buckle, and I bet the silver inked edges look very nice irl. Way to rock the deco scissors, too. I have to excuse myself now and wipe the drool from salivating over the shrimp and pancit.
SHCG: I notice the deco scissors on this one... way to bring back the old-school tools! After looking at the first two pages, I like that the # of photos really shows how busy and important this day was. Very cool LO. :)
SHCG:It looks like y'all had a wonderful time! LOL I didn't realise that Greg was so tall!! I think my fave pic is the arial view. Most people forget to get shots like that. Awesome job on the challange!
My “Big B Bonanza” challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group asked for 1) a color that begins w/ "B"; 2) a BUNCH of pics (at least 3 per page); 3) an embellishment or technique that begins w/ "B" & 4) bulleted journaling. For my response, I decided to do three 2-page LOs about Christmas Day 2005. This Christmas was particularly special for me because it was the first time in 4 years that my immediate family all got together since we live in different states (not everyone could even make it to our wedding in '04). So it was really important to me to include as many pics & memories of this holiday as possible, including tiny details from my parents' house in the photo backgrounds. These 2-pagers used 14-16 pics each, have blue (sometimes black & brown) in the pp, blue flecks in the journaling paper, & I FINALLY use the buckles I've had in my stash that I've never used until now.
Please pardon the imperfect scans/stitching; my scanner cuts off the margins. Also, my cutely private parents preferred to be blurred online so zat's what I did! And, I used a few bright SILVER elements – silver inking on the photos, foil/mirror-like silver cs matting the journaling & silver sequins - & the bling factor just doesn't translate online, they look really cool & shiny IRL but look dark here.
I kind of did variations of a similar format for all of these but also wanted to make 'em 3 different 2-pagers.
I decided to only name who's who in the photos the first time they appear (or if they're in a pic w/ others' first appearances) as putting the names for each seemed redundant. So by the last 2-pager, there are no names for the pics.
The Rockstar stack was a Secret Santa ‘'07 gift from Tiffany/whenscraphappenzz (thanks Tiff!)
