SHCG: Sharon, dahhhhling. I adore your multipage layout. I strive to be more like thee. I had to laugh out loud at the comments that Brenda added, because I had some similar questions regarding the "look" that you are giving in the little circle picture of you. I also laughed at your sister's head. Your pages are fabulous and I rarely have suggestions, because they are perfection!
SHCG: Sharon, I must seriously be buggin', because I specifically remember the comments I typed for this page and its companion, but I don't see them! WTF?! Frustrating! I remember writing about what a wonderful spread we always have at Pilipeeps' parties, how the pic of your sibs shows that stellar smile runs in the pamily, and I wondered about the one pic with the sexy shooting daggers look in your eyes. I also commented on the cute stars I love that you use, the way you take pps that I normally wouldn't pair up and you make them work. I love all the different photo sizes and shapes, and the number of pics you placed on one page. I also really look those three clear brads(?) in the upper left corner. New comments I have are how the combo of upper and lowercase letters in the title create interest and is cutely accentuated by the bow as well as by your DH's expression in that Santa hat and Jacob in his suit. I also get a kick out of your use of a photo of the back of your sister's head. No suggestions for this page. More comments on the facing page...
I would never be able to get that many pics on one lo and get them to look right, but you did it perfectly. I use to have the same set of cookware that is shown on bottom pic. Great job
SHCG: Wow... you really got a lot of photos on this! :) I really like how your journaling is on the small strips and attached right on top of the photos. I do like Lisa's suggestion of leaving your hubby's hat instead of cutting the full circle- that would be really cute. Great job on this LO!
SHCG: Christmas we are on a roll! LUV your multi-photo and multi-shaped photos layout. Don't be afraid to leave something outside of the circle when you cut a photo into a circle. Your husband's fabulous hat would have looked great if you had included it while cutting the rest of your circle.
SHCG: Can't believe how many pics you got on these sets of pages. I am having an issue with the color contrast between the bg paper and the horizontal strip, though. I love the stars all over.
SHCG: Wow Sharon, awesome response to the Big B challenge!!! I hereby crown you the queen of multi-photo layouts LOL I love that you did the pictures in different shapes and sizes. The bow on the title is so cute.
SHCG: wowzer thats a lot of pics!!! Great job with the challange!! I love how you made some of them into circles while leaving others in the rectangle.
My “Big B Bonanza” challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group asked for 1) a color that begins w/ "B"; 2) a BUNCH of pics (at least 3 per page); 3) an embellishment or technique that begins w/ "B" & 4) bulleted journaling. For my response, I decided to do three 2-page LOs about Christmas Day 2005. This Christmas was particularly special for me because it was the first time in 4 years that my immediate family all got together since we live in different states (not everyone could even make it to our wedding in '04). So it was really important to me to include as many pics & memories of this holiday as possible, including tiny details from my parents' house in the photo backgrounds. These 2-pagers used 14-16 pics each, have blue (sometimes black & brown) in the pp, blue flecks in the journaling paper, & I FINALLY use the buckles I've had in my stash that I've never used until now.
Please pardon the imperfect scans/stitching; my scanner cuts off the margins. Also, my cutely private parents preferred to be blurred online so zat's what I did! And, I used a few bright SILVER elements – silver inking on the photos, foil/mirror-like silver cs matting the title & silver sequins - & the bling factor just doesn't translate online, they look really cool & shiny IRL but look dark here.
I kind of did variations of a similar format for all of these but also wanted to make 'em 3 different 2-pagers.
I decided to only name who's who in the photos the first time they appear (or if they're in a pic w/ others' first appearances) as putting the names for each seemed redundant. So by the last 2-pager, there are no names for the pics.
The Rockstar stack was a Secret Santa ‘'07 gift from Tiffany/whenscraphappenzz (thanks Tiff!)
