On this page, I had a lot of fun coloring but instead of the good ol’ crayons, I gave it a twist and used a couple of mediums.
Courtesy of Josie and Sally of Iron Orchid Design:
On the Clear Paintable, I pulled out my Sakura Koi Waterbrush and filled it with Ranger Adirondak Blending Solution. I then dipped the brush in the Adirondak Alcohol Inks and painted the back of the Paintable.
Only thing is, I took that one step further…..
One the Alcohol Inks dried (which takes seconds), I painted the frames, flowers and vines with acrylic paint. By doing this, it makes the details a little more prominent and it really reveals the brush strokes of the alcohol inks for a nice two-tone effect.
I also highlighted the details on the Paintable with Ranger Stickles for a subtle, yet glittery effect.
And before I put away my inks and waterbrush I painted the Build A Baubles. Can you believe they are actually teal?
See the word “love?”? They started out as ivory, but I colored them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.
