Fear or Phobia

I can relate, I used to be so paranoid and now I have the silly things in my back yard! It has relaxed me a little as long as we all wash well! We actually probably have a little in us which we've gotten immuned to.

That is a GOOD thing, but what has changed is what I want to know. We never had to be that careful before and I never heard of anyone getting sick. Best to be careful with poultry, I do too.

I try to really clean up after poultry, gotta love those Clorox or Lysol wipes!

I have a problem with this too. I always use a cookie sheet to lay my meat on and then wash it right away and always use the disinfectant on everything

I spray the antibacterial stuff all over the sinks & counter tops. I'm not phobic but the thought of Salmonella is always there!

I'm with you, only I'm so overboard that I'll only use the frozen skinless boneless type so that all I have to do is dump what I need from the bag and then I wash like crazy!!!

My dad is a vet and he always told us it's harder to get that people think. Precaution is good but don't fret he always let us eat raw cookie dough.

oh me, too - I HATE to even touch raw chicken! (I DO, but still hate it!) I won't even eat leftover chicken that's been in the fridge for more than 2 days...
