My 'Cleveland Rocks' LO highlights our day trip to Cleveland during my little family vacation to Ohio in July 2008.
The title is long - "Hard Rocking and Rocking Hard in Cleveland" - but it sums up what we did! We ate at my FAVORITE restaurant, Hard Rock Cafe, and then we went to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I absolutely love rock music...everything from Dave Matthews Band to Nirvana to Janis Joplin to System of a Down...and so I really wanted to spend some time with this LO. I've been working for a few months on and off with this LO!
I'm glad I spent a lot of time with it, I like how it turned out :-D
Materials I used were:
Papers- Plain white and gray cardstock All patterned papers I actually got on sale at Hobby Lobby
Embellishments- Making Memories brads and brackets Regular silk flowers that I inked with black and blue ink Me and My Big Ideas 'Icons' Rhinestone Stickers Griff's Shortcuts for Scrapbooking Corner Cut borders Doodlebug Crushed Velvet Brads in 'Tuxedo'
Stamps and ink- Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Broken China Stampabilities Stamps - Vintage Photo Corner and Textured Fleur De Lis Stampendous Stamp - Faux Finish Quad Cube ('splatter' stamp) I also have 'Antique Typewriter' alphabet stamps (I can't remember the brand - I've had them a long time) and for the photo mats and on the guitars, I stamped out the names of rock singers and rock groups!
Alphabets- I got them all at JoAnn's (The black words are also crushed velvet, and 'Cleveland' is made up of shiny metallic letters, but they don't look too shiny in the picture!)
Guitar- I Google-searched an image of an acoustic guitar, and then I took that image and made it bigger in Photoshop. I then printed that enlarged image and used it to trace onto the gray paper I used.
