This is another LO done for my Colorado 2005 trip album. As the journaling reads, the top section features brief stops on our road trip through South Dakota. The bottom photos show my DH, SIL and her daughter, clowning around with some of the Rapid City statues as we headed toward our restaurant of choice for the evening stop.
Except for the background paper all the matting and strips are simple cs. I added two strips of black to the top photo to break up the stone pattern. I took a strip of dark brown and added dots with a marker. I then heat embossed these in a bronze metallic color. And finally the bottom sheet is a piece of ivory cs that was crumpled and torn and distressed with lots of ink to match the statues better. I did add bronze eyelets for more interest.
