My brother-in-law, Arnie. He passed September 15, 2008. He had a melanoma cancer thoughout 75% of his body. In June the smoke from the fires in California started causing Arnie severe breathing problems. (Arnie had volcanic ash in his lungs from Mt St. Helen ) Arnie continued to deteriorate. He started losing weight, and there was a point at which they "thought" he might have cancer. And they thought it was the lungs. Then, a biopsy was performed and was given one to two weeks to live. I went to visit him. He said I'm 73 yrs old, I've had a good life. I know there's life out there after I pass. They gave me a 5% chance of survival with chemo...I'm not going to put myself through that, nor Brenda. " He was jovial, and squeezed our hands as we left. Myself, I could not be that brave. I will always remember Arnie as he is in this picture.

One might think I am mocking the lord with this layout. No. Arnie was an Engineer, an Ordnance Explosives Demolition Expert, Director of Weapons Test. Arnie got excited when he talked about blowing things up. I had a hard time getting the words from him what he wanted. No junk on it! I felt he wanted a page for all his family and friends, not just my sister, Brenda - our Neighbor Stormy Day on this site. She is the grandmother of Sara Good, if you remember that from last year.

I may put some more to his story as I get it.

I used three photographs and an eagle with sun decal. Arnie loved eagles.

The three photographs are Arizona desert cactus at sunset, One of fireworks, (hence, the explosions you see) And Arnie. I got the quote from sb.com Resource Department. I found the perfect quote. Thanks sb.com. LumiPix FotoFusion was the software I used.
