I think it turned out awesome. And your doodles are fantastic. As a matter of fact, did you know that almost every month there is a doodle challenge here on this site. For October, the layout has to be new, as of Sept 29th. So there is plenty of time to make another doodle page. Here's the link: http://www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/1481223/tp/1/ The winner gets a small prize. There's also a pet challenge (same rule about the date) but here's the link: http://www.scrapbook.com/forums/showtopic.php?fid/18/tid/1481111/pid/8966975/post/last/#LAST (no prizes this month, but it helps inspire you. Anyway, cute cat photos, story and all the "FUN" stuff you added!!
this is adorable! and your doodling is awesome, especially if that is your 1st try! i assure you my first doodles were not so perfect as yours, great job, this is very unique :)
This is soo cute- both the pictures and the page! So much detail! Love all the pp's, the cute title work, the buttons! And all the doodling looks fab!! Great work!
This is the second entry in my boyfriend's album that I originally gave him as a birthday present.
This is his cat, Kay, when she decided to be SO CUTE and lay with her paws stretched out under his covers!
And the color scheme, of course, is the Hat in the Cat mixture of colors!
Materials I used were:
Papers- I got them all on sale at Hobby Lobby (I have a HL literally 2 minutes away from my house! It's dangerous)
Embellishments- The clouds and flowers are hand-drawn All the buttons are from my great grandma's stash (check out my photos!) The Paper Studio 'Spare Parts' collection - Crown Brads
Doodles- I doodled on polka dot paper for the clouds, title, and flowers I added in black and red designs on the already-patterned white background papers I traced around a circle punch and made the dotted circles (The heart paper already looked like it was doodled, so that I didn't touch) Sakura Micron black and red pens - fine point Sakura Gelly Roll white pen - med. point
Title- Hand-cut letters that take forever! I am addicted to www.dafont.com which provides free font downloads... -'Cat' and 'Hat' are Mandingo font -'X' and 'Bed' are Daniel Black font
Cat in the Hat- I printed him after finding his picture through Google Images!
I'd like some feedback here. I've NEVER tried doodling before, so I really had no clue what I was doing with this LO. I knew I wanted it to be doodly, cartoon-y, and busy.
