My Mom has breast cancer. She found the lump early in September. Told me about the lump on September 11th. As the oldest child and the only daughter...I have taken on the caretaker role of my parents. Those that are in this role know...when you become your parents parent...it's tough. I got the parent job last year when they started having financial problems and my Dad's eyesight really started to deteriorate....and they are young! Mom 64 & Dad 70. Life is different now.....I am in the middle of my parents and my children. And now I am in charge of my Mom's cancer. We are so very lucky tho...she has stage 2 breast cancer. It's treatable. But, this past couple of weeks...have been so very hard. Trying to hold everyone up, be the brain to understand everything that is going on and decifering it for the rest of the family....anyway...I am rambling. But, this was the first day of chemo.
