Tons of journaling. It's tells the cautionary tale of how I got ran over by a car to save my chalk drawing. I was reminded of that as I began to journal about how I couldn't save this picture Gauge drew. What is my obsession with saving chalk drawings?!

I wish I could save this...
Chalk drawings perish. I learned that the hard way. I was the age you are now when I risked my life to save my chalk drawing. After decorating the driveway with my art, I threw myself down as my chalk's martyr in front of the car that was in the path of my art. I had been warned of how fragile chalk drawings are. I wonder what I had drawn...I learned the lesson that chalk drawings perish, but the artist more valuable! The rain has since washed away your "fancy talk" but I'm more interested in preserving you!"
the journaling strips read:
"Look Mama," he said. "I drew some fancy talk! You can get it at the fancy store."
