When I made the decision to move to the Classical education model, one of the things I wanted to do was to reduce tv time and increase reading time. In addition, I wanted to start exposing the girls to Classical music.
So, I designated Tuesday & Thursday nights as “reading night”. I turned on the cd player and we all cozied up with our books. The first night there were a few complaints. But on the 2nd night, Alana turned on the music herself and they both dived into their books.
Ah….Heaven on earth!
