Oooooo, I've never been to Manitoba (read your comment in my gallery about not going past Ontario)... I've been to BC and Alberta but by plane, so I skipped your province. Looks cold... :o) Ok, NB isn't that warm either!
We have one of those too! Aren't they nice? We like being able to monitor the weather. DH has our wind whirly on a really tall pole. It works better than when it was on the roof of the house.
Here's what the gadgets and whirlies on the roof of the garage send to the house. Starting at the top row - we have the time (am at this moment) then the date (which I noticed afterwards was the wrong date) Then the circle with the dashes is telling us what way the wind is blowing. Haven't figured out what the number on the inside does. Then the next row is the wind chill (how cold it feels when it's really windy out) and the wind speed. The next row is the actual temperature (5.3C = 41F) and the humidity (88%) The next row tells us the pressure, and the rainfall (which rose today - it's rained all day) The last row is pressure history from the past twelve hours (you can see how it dropped) and the tendency - which today shows cloudy and rainy.
So it's really helpful. Sometimes a little scary to see - especially those really cold winter days when it's super windy out - we've had it read as off line because it's been so cold it won't compute.
