i got so inspired to create this mini by not only reading the sept/oct issue of somerset studio, but by also coming across this old photo of my great grandmother & great grandfather's wedding photo. i decided i wanted to do something a little accentric and out of the box ...so i searched the web and printed out tons of beautiful vintage real photo collage sheets..i know that this mini is going to take me a bit to complete - since im also working on other l.os and projects..but hopefully it's finished by halloween -- thats the goal.
techniques://
i distressed with vintage photo and tea dye..and also mixed some alcohol inks and splahsed them all over the background. i took a page from an old worn out book, drew scallops - cut - and painted lightly with white paint. i used a foam brush so the paint wouldn't go on too dark b/c i still wanted words to show through.. i matted the picture with wire mesh (my new fav. obsession) and used MM tiny alphas along with my handwriting to execute the quote, which reads:
"ALL THAT WE SEE IS BUT A DREAM IN A DREAM"
i then sprinkled 2 flowers on the page and stamped a flourish.
