Great layout! Love the pp's. I remember some of the gas shortages in the 70's and my parents talking about how bad it was. They had to have numbers and on certain days if you were within that number series you got gas that day. I hope we never see anything like those shortages or what we had recently again.
What a great idea for such a historical kind of page, one of those things you might just recall but taking pic of the signs and all is wonderful.. I might have to do something like that down the line... love how you did this and love those flower kind of things... very cool!
I can't believe you had a gas shortage?! The prices here have been rediculous, even more expensive than in the States but at least we've had gas all along! I love how you capture the things like this on your LO's. The sort of everyday stuff.
Journaling Reads: October 1, 2008 The very active hurricane season of 2008 left the Gulf with some oil refineries down and out of service for weeks! While it was not a huge ordeal, fortunately, it did get a little scary and caused some panic for a while! It was very surreal to see this gas station marquee "zeroed out" with no gas to sell! Access to the pumps was even taped off! I had never seen this kind of situation up to this point in my life, and I hope never to again!
