hehehe-- a tribute to my husband. ;) This is so simple that I'm embarrassed by how long it took me! It was ridiculous. :)

Thanks for looking! Heather :)

Journaling:
Never would I have thought that I would have a husband that loved swords. And not just any kind of sword. Sharp swords. And not just swords to be displayed. Swords to be played with.
When you came home from kendo one Saturday and the first thing you said when you walked in the door was, “Honey, don’t be mad,” I knew something had to be wrong. When I saw your thumb all bandaged up, several bloody scenarios raced through my mind. Thankfully you quickly assured me that it was *just* a cut. You said it wasn’t a big deal. When it happened, you were told that you should get stitches, but much to my dismay you didn’t think it was necessary. Instead you insisted that all you needed was some hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin, and some super glue. Lovely.
These photos were taken a few days after the incident, after it had healed considerably. Even now, almost two weeks later, it looks as if nothing really happened. However, you’ll definitely have a scar... hopefully it will serve as a reminder that while I wish you would have chosen a safer hobby, I know that this is something you love to do and I wouldn’t ask you to stop, so I just ask one small thing: Hopefully next time you come home with the phrase, “Honey, don’t be mad,” it has nothing to do with blood. Love ya babe. -November 2005
