oh, you crack me up!!!! Too afraid to use your sewing machine, but rock your cricut, and put it to uses most people wouldnt even think of?!!!! This is so fun! GREAT xx
wow and I was impressed when i recently figured out how to make a birthday card using the stretch your imagination cartridge...just goes to show you I have a LOT to learn!!! awesome project!
I made this entire thing using my Cricut! The purse was designed in DesignStudio using mostly George and Plantin Schoolbook cartridges. I used IndieArt for the felt "Lucky". I even designed the buttonhole in the software. I hadn't done a buttonhole on my sewing machine before and was too scared to try it and then thought--what if in DS? It worked! I'm so jazzed with this right now. If anyone is interested in the cut file, please let me know. Also, in order to cut fabric on Cricut, you need to use heat-n-bond (lite) if you're going to sew threw the material and heat-n-bond regular if you're just going to iron it on, like with "Lucky". As in a previous post I stated, Cricut acts as a cutting aide--it lays the tracks in the material, but you will need to use microtip scissors to cut the fabric from the negative shape. It's still a lot more effective than having to cut it yourself. I was NEVER good with scissors--that's why I love my Cricut--LOL! Have a good weekend and TFL!
