This gift project entailed creating birthday cards for a year with a decorative box to hold them. I chose a birthstone theme for the cards and bright colors that could be for any occasion for the box.

Using Bazzill Bling Birthstone cardstock as the card base I tried to include Glitz "Eye Candy Party" chipboard stickers on all the cards I could. I was successful with the exception an orange and a teal packages but they can easily be used for other cards . I also used individual rhinestones from Glitz Frosting including those in the Glitz Frosting Collection Kit. Patterned papers that coordinated with the birthstone cardstock are from various companies. Machine and "mock" stitching were used on many of the cards. Mock stitching is achieved by piercing cardstock with a paper piercer and template and then inking from hole to hole with a pen.

Clear acrylic stamps were used for the greetings. I've included several sets from the Scrapbook.com superstore that might work but be sure to check your stash.

Two sets of cards are able to fit into each box.

Some of the cardstock sticker cakes didn't have the right gems for the applicable month so I removed them (saving for other projects) and used an applicable color. On months that don't have a coordinating Glitz gem use Stickles, they're beautiful.

I was able to get four cards from each cardstock birthstone color in the 8.5" x 11" pack with no waste. This calculates to enough cards for two gift card boxes with 24 cards in each.

Happy Birthday to everyone with a March birthday!

Thanks for looking!
