This is a pic I took in Florida of my mom and I...well, actually our feet! This was my first time stitching on a LO and if you have never tried it, do so because it is soooo easy! I used embroidery floss and a yarn darning needle. For the title (sun, sand, simple) I used a pencil and wrote the words on paper and used a craft knife to cut them out, glued them back on paper backwards and cut them out again. Then I glued them onto cardstock and cut again. I then used markers to go around the letters. I painted the chipboard flourishes with MM specialty glaze in pearl. I used a template and craft knife to cut out the bird and then painted it and added glitter. I cut out the two thin rectangular frames by hand and added the MM glitter and paint. All the chipboard elements and flowers were either chalked, inked or painted.
I have to say that although I had fun making this, it was a lot of work!
