DREAM COME TRUE

I decided to do my first layout about this incredible weekend (where I met Xavier Roberts - creator of the Cabbage Patch Kids) with just one photo - just about him and not about all the other things that went on that day. I really just wanted to focus on the one thing that was most important to me at that time.

Then I saw two challenges...The Story Matters - to use just one photo, and the Stash Diet Challenge about Gratitude/being thankful (I made it a point to say Thank You to Xavier for his creations!) and to use up old alphas. So...I am putting this layout out for both of those challenges also.

Journaling reads:
"A 12 hour drive to spend 3 hours with the man whose simple idea has blossomed to give sheer joy & cherished memories to so many people"

I used the Jenni Bowlin mini Lucky card and a mini October calendar card (we went in Oct and his birthday is Oct 31). Also, everything on this layout is from my stash!!! YAY! I used 3 different fonts (don't know if you can see the "x" in the lower left corner - for his name)
