Parade in Madison, Indiana
Happy Birthday America! Parades are small town America at its best. Madison, Indiana goes all out for their Fourth of July Parade. There were many veterans groups – who always make me tear up in gratitude for what they have done for our country and also because they remind me of my dad. This parade included a lot of Shiners’ groups riding miniature cars or motorcycles or trucks. Of course there were twirlers and cheerleaders and churches with floats. There was one racing boat from the regatta, a few bands, tractors, politicians, horse-drawn buggies and more. The parade lasted about two hours and everyone seemed to have a good time.
