This is my daughter Emily and I at London airport, the morning of Aug 31st, as she was leaving for her first career job in Dubai. We were both excited, and this is such a great adventure for any 21 year old, so I'm thrilled for her, but when it came time to say goodbye, I cried, which then made her cry, and we were both laughing at each other, and both crying! That leaving time brought us especially close together, and is a very precious memory for us both. I left her a special secret message attached to the 'baby girl' snap - she IS my baby girl! I photographed the page - not straight! The bottom is straight, as you can see from the edge, but its wonky after that. I have to try scanning next time! I loved recording this event, and the old Beatles lyrics were perfect. The scalloped edge is uneven - which I like! - and hand cut. I also used stickles and silver pen round the scallops. The flowers are cut out freehand. I have scraplifted some elements from Luzma's 'Hello to my preteen' layout - I love her work!
