This is my mother-in-law on the last trip to Hawaii. The iournalistic says:
"Trip to Hawaii, May 2008. It was a fabulous way of getting away from all the problems – cancer, chemotherapy, being sick all the time, and worrying about the next doctor’s appointment or blood transfusion. This trip with Monica, Eric, Paityn, Ryan, and Taylor was a perfect way for Virginia to get away for a while and not have to think about her sickness. The family vacation was just what the doctor ordered; even though it meant a long flight, chasing after her 5 year old granddaughter, always “on the go” and possibly not getting enough rest throughout the day. But it also meant sightseeing picturesque islands, sitting at the beach with no specific agenda, basking in the sun, dipping your feet in the warm ocean and parasailing with Paityn. These are the memories that no one can take away and will last a lifetime.
This picture of you Virginia makes me smile. You look relaxed, happy and so gorgeous. Your straw hat and your outfit match the scenery around you so beautifully; the turquoise ocean, the beige sandy beach and the blue cloudy sky. The footsteps in the sand make the picture perfect – they remind us of your presence and the imprints you left behind. We see them every day through your remarkable life and your everlasting legacy of being a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother and the courageous giving person you were to everyone you touched. We will miss you and your beautiful smile. "
