I can say, in no uncertain terms, this was one of my favorite tap dances....EVER! This was the first time the studio did a style of tap called hoofer tap. It's tap done in flat, lace up shoes and it's much looser and funkier than anything else we've ever done. That year, we danced with the teacher's class to music from the play "Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk." Remember....when you bring the noise, you got to bring in the funk!

By the way, hoofer tap is the style of tap made famous by Gregory Hines and Savion Glover. It's also the style of tap done by Mumbles in "Happy Feet " (Because they used Savion Glover as his human feet, so to speak).
