This LO was done for a Fall challenge and a 1/2 page journaling challenge, combined. Thanksgiving weekend, Oct. 2008. The motor boat was already in storage but our son bought a canoe and took advantage of the beautiful warm weather on the lake - Indian Summer. Our son sent us an email reflecting on the weekend that he had just spent here. I wanted to preserve some of his words as he is a wonderful writer with a unique way of expressing himself. Technique: I chalked the edges of the frames, burned the edges of the journaling, used some blocking, hand pressed paper and embellishments. I used velvet ribbon with hand-stitched sequence and beads to compliment the journaling sections.
