I did a similar thing in my scraproom. I bought some rings that you find with the cross stich thread and used them to hang my stuff. Love this idea.

My new clip-up organisation rack

I created this with a curtain rod that's fixed under my shelf. The rod easily pops out of special brackets so I can add more rings. The rings are from Ikea (IDELE) and come in packs of 10 - I bought 5 packs. This is so easy and cheap to make and I can see all my new products instead of them being tucked away.
