Beautiful page!! The colors are sooo pretty! Fabulous design! Your stitching is perfection- awesome job!!! Love the bling, the flowers, the butterfly, and the border punch! All the distressing looks great too- love how you added the tulle underneath! Wonderful work! To my faves!
I did this layout for the stitching challenge. This is Sarah, back in 1998, in her Easter dress. I made the dress for her. The whole bodice was hand embroidered with bouillion roses and lazy daisy flowers and leaves and a lattice. The flowers have beads in the centers. The hem is also done by hand with a scalloped hem and the same flowers as on the bodice are at the top of each scallop. There was also a short pink scalloped edge jacket with more embroidery that went over the dress. (I'm working on a layout of that now). This was one of my favorites of all the clothes I ever made for her.
As for the layout, I distressed the pink cs, cut small pieces of green to go behind the torn spots (I used the Martha Stewart punch for the edges). The larger tears have a piece of gathered tulle over the green and then lacing on the top. Then I hand stitched the lavender scalloped border around the edge. Then I added the hand stitched border on the white background piece (emulating the design on the dress bodice). Then inked around the edges in lavender. Then added some stamping, bling, stickers, photos, etc. The swirlie leaves and title letters were cut with the Storybook font from Cricut. Thanks so much for looking.
