ThanksTorimichele. It does inspire me to just walk into the room. It makes putting things together easier because you just grab a stack of paper or open a drawer of goodies to put things together.
Thanks so much for all your kind comments and votes. This side of the room is really the heart of everything but paper. The binders hold all the articles I've kept from scrapbook magazines like Creating Keepsakes and such from several years. I am so grateful to have this material to refer to when I need motivation or perhaps just some "know how" to do something.
Thanks for your kind words ladies. I find having all the color around me inspirational. Can you imagine if the room was all white? Or even just one color? That would dominate my thoughts and I'd probably lean toward it in my layouts subconsciously. Every wall, including the ceiling, is a different color ... just as every knob!
Oh, please come and play! Sounds like you're from the Midwest since you call it pop whereas I call it soda but who cares, I'll drink it! I've got a large dining room table or we could set up in the library just next door.
Thank you, thank you everyone! I never imagined my posting would generate such interest!
I am very fortunate to have my own scrapping space. I decided early on to make it as colorful as possible, so each wall and the ceiling, too, is painted a different color. Various posters and so on bring in even more colors.
My husband picked up on this and ordered the knobs for the drawers in six colors. When the carpenter and he put them on, they made sure to never have two in a row of the same color!
To answer Chan'sGram, the cabinets were custom made. I designed them myself. The drawers on the upper shelves are Cropper Hopper drawers filled with their embellishment boxes to hold all my ribbon - a drawer for each color. I like to roll my ribbon rather than leave it flat because I have a pet peever about having all those folds show on my layout.
And GrammieAmmie, I sure hope your prediction comes true. I'm almost moved in so then I'll be able to create nice things. I've got to sort through all my "projects to do" pile and get it in order before I can begin. So many layouts, so little time!
As I look at your pics of your amazing scraproom, I am more amazed each new photo, this is a scrapper's haven! what fun it must be to enter there and scrap away, as you will soon know once you are all settled in!!!! Fun!
This is the wall of cabinets, shelving, and the 38 drawers to hold everything scrapbook. Albums, ribbon, stamps, punches, stickers, chipboard letters in the bins, reference articles in the binders, Photos are behind the cabinet doors to protect them from any sunlight. And just about everything else you can think of!
