Every year our local college students sponsor EMPTY BOWLS to benefit local food pantrys. This event features homemade soup and bread and one of a kind handmade bowls which were made and donated by local potters and college students. The diner's get to keep the bowl they choose. The only cost of this event is donations. My son took his two youngest children to this event, I am sure to not only support the event, but to make them aware of the hunger not only in the world, but close to home. I couldnt resist scrapping my two little dgc's, Max and Abbi as they enjoy their bowl of soup. The pictures were in the local newspaper and my son sent them to me.
