A number of years ago, my girlfriend and I decided to take a summer study abroad semester at Cambridge, England with a mutual friend of ours. It was one of the best times of my life. One weekend, while taking a train to Paris, there was this great fountain that I asked them to pose "sexy" in front of. As you can see, my girlfriend on the left played along, while our friend on the right was like, "whatever", lol!

I made a black and white photocopy of the original image and enlarged it to a standard 8" x 11" sheet of paper. Then, I took a needle and poked an outline of every major shape and shadow from the B&W image. Afterwards, I used an Exact-o knife to cut about 7 different types of blue paper to create the different shades of the image; one magazine cut-out of an image of a galaxy to create the texture of their hair; a few slivers of black paper for the details on the pant leg, and tiny slivers of gold frame stickers for the eyes, lips, and Rita's bracelet.

I may have put about 100 hours into this page alone because of all the details that went into it. Once you're in that state of "flow", time just flies by. It's also effortless when it's for someone you love.
