OOOH KIMMI1 Right now Im Lol literally. HEHE! I think I would have lost it long before . Must be like having a baby? They say during the labour your thinking never again! But when you see the beauty, you forget all about it. Love your lo, the colors are real pretty and the stiching id fab!. Your new avatar is rockin'. Have a very Merry Christmas and an even better New Year! xoxoxo
Great layout! I LOVE the story. I have a branch-by-branch fake tree...same one since 1993. I've got it down to a science now but bought a new one 2 years ago, put it up and half the lights burned out right then.back it went to Costco and out came the old tree. Oh Tannebaum! Merry Christmas and Happy Scrappin'!
Wow, that stitching looks beautiful! I just don't have the patients. What a fantastic job! Funny story, we bought a prelit tree last year and I was soooo glad when it came time to set it up. It might have took you 4 days but you accomplished a beautiful tree!
Wow! this layout is so fun. I love all the stitching. Glad to know someone else modifies their chipboard numbers and alphas. I never have all the right ones I need. LOL
This is my Christmas tree. The pps are from a new pink and green pack by PaperMania and I love them because of the non-traditional colours. All the edges are hand-stitched and I altered lots of chipboard alphas to make my title. The 't's are all chopped down number 4s and the small 'o's are chopped down 8s. I made a bauble out of scraps of pp and has the following journalling:
This is my Christmas tree this year and what a palava it has been. We started on Friday night but when we opened the new tree we soon realised it was one of those where you have to slot in each and every branch.
On Saturday we began the tree building process and finished about an hour later. In the afternoon we went shopping for the new decorations, choosing dark burgundy and antique gold as our colours.
At home I started decorating the tree only to get half way and had to stop … I forgot to put the lights on, but I was too tired so I left it until Sunday.
On Sunday, Scott brought all the lights down from the attic and lo and behold, 2 sets of lights wouldn't work. The tree was finally finished on Monday night after going out to buy a new set of lights.
4 days to put up a Christmas tree … but it was worth it!
This is for the VLB challenge to use a title beginning with any of these letters: VERYLAIDBCK and for the Christmas, Holidays, Stitching and Bling Challenges. TFL!
