So...on Sunday, my scrapbook friends got together....pooled all our numbered embellishments and made this "altered" December Advent Calendar...the design and concept didn't come from any of us....but as I do not have a copy of the book it came from I will have to edit this with the artist's name at a later date....We used galvanized steel here.... a copy of the Original Post back from the 1950's.....all the numbers, as well as the "December" title cards are magnets....as the day passes, you put the magnet on the back corresponding with the day.....the 25th is a special tin you put a little surprise into.....This was an absolutely blast to make....partly because it was a fun project...but also for the company of my friends....my dh kept the babies ALL DAY...while I "arted" the day away :o) I used stamps to stamp the photo corners....accented with paint and glitter and stickles....The more you look at this the more interesting it becomes (in my opinion of course :o) My son loves it!
