I'm not surprised that two of my favorite people whose art I wait for in the gallery are friends! The passion each of you have for life, scrapbooking, and friends is evident through your work! This layout is no exception!
OMGosh this is soooo gorgeous and done about a very precious person!! I love her form of art!! And this LO is just to stunning for words!! I love it all!! Great job!
Awesome lo--the title, the colors, the flowers, the mini lo's. But the hidden journaling is what sets this apart from so many other beautiful lo's. What a marvelous tribute--to a great scrapper.
oh jen my love! I'm in love with this...and it's not just because it's about me. LOL I love how you did my name...how you used my lo's...how you cropped that photo of me... the pink...all the gorgeous flowers...the brown dot ribbon...The tikis on the paper...Well, I love it all! You are such a best bud to me! Thank you so much for this...I feel the love! LOVE YA HONEY! Heidi
OMG I can't wait to see what Heidi thinks!!!! She is going to LOVE this!!! I think you did a fantastic job. Love all of her little lo's, that is like her lo she did. This is such a wonderful tribute to an amazing, terrific, and awesome person!!!! Not to mention she does fabulous work!!!!!!!!! Love it Jen, spectacular lo!!!!!!!
What an awesome layout! It really is a beautiful tribute to an incredible scrapper...one of my favorites for sure! Such great journaling and embellies you used!
So awesome!!! I love the torn top edge, the stitching on the letters, the little LOs across the bottom, and your SUPER journaling Jen! (Oh yeah, awesome paper, too!) All the different styles of flowers here are great - it keeps it really feminine but not overwhelming. :) (I would continue, but I'm running out of 'superlative' adjectives!)
This is one of my friends I don't know if I'll ever meet in person, but I do hope everyone is blessed with a friend like her. Someone who inspires you, changes your way of thinking, and brightens your day everytime you hear from them. Someone to pray for, for sweet dreams, positive vibes, good health, and all the mustard her heart desires.
This is Heidi. Online, she is known as Queen_of_Paper, a title rightfully deserved. I've always had the urge to call this artist nicknames... Merry Sunshine, for her happiness. Rainbow Brite, for her color play and one of my favorite layouts by her. California, for that cheerfulness, confidence, and love that radiates from home, Scrapping Muse -- for what she has done for me and others in our art, Mama -- for her love of her family and the baby she has finally been blessed with, Sunflower -- for a flower that makes me smile, Tulip -- for when she's a bit quieter but just as beautiful.
She brought scrapping to a new level for me. I distinctly remember "My Sunflower Room". I dragged my husband to come see it. I admired this artist -- her energy speaks in her art, swathing layouts in paint, in vibrant colors, in layers of ribboned and flowered texture. I can't name an artist to parallel her work with -- there is no comparison. Every inch of space is an expression of creative genius, built on soundly structured design, with every message of each page ringing loud and clear. She is inimitable -- trust me, I tried.
Offline, she is just as wonderful. She is irrepressible - that incredible personality comes through in her messages. She is the Christian my priests implore us to be, her faith comes through in her joy and in her actions. Heidi makes time for others, as busy and as productive as she is. In our online 'hood, she leaves uplifting, funny compliments for others. She loves her big, happy, creative family, extended and immediate. She is an awesome mom and wife to the two men in her life... And she's going to be an awesome mom twice!
Sometimes I feel silly for loving my online friends so much, but some people are just so darn sweet, you wish everyone had a friend like Heidi -- a friend they want to affectionately nickname, a friend to pray for, a friend who inspires them, a friend who brings them home, a friend who brings sunshine where ever they go -- in the here, now, real life or on the web, three timezones away.
Favorite supplies: Photos -- Heidi's gallery, Pattern PP -- Daisy D's, Basic Grey, Mask and foam stamp -- Heidi Swapp, Hardware -- Making Memories, Paper Flowers -- Autumn Leaves, Prima, other -- Michaels
