I think you are on the right path when you say you are thinking shelves and pegboard! You could put both in this space! I love the versatility of pegboard! And it is so fast and easy to grab the tool you need off the pegboard and then replace it after using it! I want to put some up in my room, I had it there before, but want my husband to put it up in a different space now. Oh, and it is fun to paint the pegboard colors to coordinate with your room! You have a nice room! Enjoy it!
I envy you your wall space. I recommend a magnetic white board.
I have very little wall space. I have some small shelves over my window. In the space between my counter and upper cabinets I put some small white boards. (Pics in my gallery.) I absolutely love these. I can use them for displaying layouts, my son's art projects, inspiration and photos or memorabilia I want to use. I can also jot notes and ideas. I also have round magnetic containers, baskets and a note pad holder with hooks. I just wish I had space for a really big white board.
I was going to say a pegboard, or the metal sheets that are framed like a picture, and you use the magnetic containers. You have enough room, you could do both. Nice area!
I plan to use this area as my cutting area. I have my Cricut Expressions there and will move my Cuttlebug here too along with my cutters. I still don't know what to do with the wall but will most likely put up some shelves and maybe a piece of pegboard. Advice welcomed on what to do with the wall.
