The side without the picture is the one adhered to the plastic mold. TO make sure it would not come out easily, I took out the whole plastic mold and hot glues it on. I was afraid the heat might melt it and ruin the music box beneath. Low temp hot glue gun, no problems, but I would still take the precaution.
