My friend donated some of the cookbooks that she wrote to my class. The students received them for Christmas, but not before we made some of the recipes from the cookbook. This is one of my students being assisted by our wonderful assistant, Mrs. Dean. We nicknamed her "Paula Dean". The students are still trying to figure out what Mrs. Dean's "real" name is.
The students gave the Sand Art Brownie Mix to their parents. Now they are inspired to use the cookbook. Since I didn't have to buy the students' gifts, I was able to spend more on the parent gifts. The students decorated quart-sized plastic containers or jars with stickers.
