You did a wonderful job on this masculine page. So often we miss the little moments like these and I'm so glad you had them to make such a lovely tribute.
Great memorial page Shawn...so sorry to hear of your loss. This page manages to be both masculine and Christmassy all at the same time...LOVE your choice of papers and the few simple embellishments add a powerful punch. FABULOUS layout!
SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR FIN, WHAT A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE TO HIM AND A BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR FOND MEMORIES, THIS IS A VERY WODERFUL LAYOUT, AND ONE OF MY FAVW, HUGS
how funny, that song has been running thru my head for the past week! (I think it's from "Mame"?) great masculine page & that Christmas metal sign is TOO cool!
Such a loving gift in his honor, Shawn. I appreciate your feelings....have really been missing my Dad the last couple of weeks. Hope your memories and treasured times of him are always as warm and comforting as they come across in this creation. It's simple and rich in so many ways....a lovely keepsake. Take care - hugs, Maureen
I love this design, the way you did the title and that holly!! It is so hard to keep things not foo-foo'd huh? I struggle with that when trying to do something masculine.
Wonderful 2nd page for Winter in Wrightwood! Love the simplicity and masculinity you gave it...so PERFECT, and I know someone is smiling down on you....SMILE....Patty
I'd say you achieved your goal - very masculine, yet still very pretty. (And we all know how unusual it is to use the words "masculine" and "pretty" in the same sentence!) Very nice work, love the colors!
All Cosmo Cricket paper; the color does not photograph well, but the metal Christmas plate matches the bg paper.
I wanted this page to be masculine looking, with not a lot of feminine 'foo-foo' embellies, thus I kept it quite simple. Layering, inking, and I used cork sticker letters for part of the title.
The LO title comes from a holiday song of that same name.(they are putting up Christmas lights!) There is snow on the ground, but it cannot be seen in these shots...this is my FIL's cabin in the mts. We lost him this year, and I made this page in memory of special times at his cabin. TFL
