I got these this past Saturday at the beach. These are on a place mat to show their sizes.
The bottom shell is a mussel of some sort. The conks were alive until they were cooked. Chewy but not too chewy if cooked right. My mother always cook them right. :LOL: The mussel was spicy tasting on its own. And that's one of several little snails at the bottom.
