This is my shaving fanatic husband, Brian, using his new straight razor for the first time.
I got him to write the journaling, and I just copied it. It reads:
Brian says:
"This is the first shave I ever attempted with a straight razor. I was trembling a bit with nervousness at first. After the first pass, I calmed down. I didn't get a very close shave, but I didn't cut myself, either, so I gained some confidence. The razor is a Dovo Special and is the first razor I bought brand-new. The soap is Crabtree And Evelyn Sandalwood, and the brush is a Crabtree And Evelyn Best Badger Brush." Oct. 2008
