Journalling reads- When I was 7 months pregnant, David, Autumn, and I hiked 21 miles of the Washington coast. During that trip we saw the power of God time after time after time. I would be exhausted, hungry, and hopeless and God would answer our prayers for help. He revealed gorgeous campsites when I had to rest and I firmly believe he held back the tide so we would not be trapped without a campsite. During that trip, I learned what joy God could provide. After a hard, hard, hard day to gaze out at the spectacular Pacific Ocean was a blessing. I believe the rocks, waves, otters, and whales (how exciting to see) were truly "bursting forth into song before You."
Isaiah 55:12
You shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst forth into song before You, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
