Now, if you would have asked me, I would have said I don't like this color combination... I would have be WRONG!!! This is so beautiful!! Love how the soft yellows look with the pink!! This is just so precious!!!
Cute picture and very pretty LO! Love your description, very detailed. I assume it is hidden with the LO? or that you included it at least. You remember so many details.
This has got to be my fav LO of all of yours. Love what you did with the layered and dotted letters, and how you brought the focus from the top-left cluster around to the yesterday title. Just beautimous ~
Wonderful lo with such great elements! I know exactly how you feel! I did a lo called "just yesterday" about the same feelings.. and it REALLY does seem like yesterday! Great work! its a fav & inspire! tfs :D
I feel the same way and my son is only 11- I love the idea!!! Pictures of me from aroudn the saem time have changed colors too! Must be the developing or something......
Oh MY..... This is breathtaking...I got all choked up reading your journaling....stop that !! LOL.. This goes WAY beyond wonderful..... right into my Faves!! :)
This layout is absolutely lovely but your journaling is so touching and heartfelt; it transported me back to the time when my kids were babies; very powerful journaling!!!!
Oh my gosh. How time does fly. this is such a beautiful LO. The colors, buttons, swirls and flowers are beautiful. Just love it!!! BTW, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
This is so beautiful Susan, I totally love this. The colours and design are gorgeous, I love what you did with the picture, but the most beautiful thing is your journaling.
Sooo sweet!! Love the pink and yellow together! That 3-d paint looks really cute- never seen that before! Love those pp's and all the buttons! And your journaling is so touching! Wonderful work!
This is so beautiful in so many ways Susan!! I just love the soft pinks and yellows, and the design and detailing just perfection. Most of all I love the way you express yourself in your journaling....into the faves with the rest of your beautiful work!
This is just so beautiful. I made it a favorite. It caught my eye when I saw it there on the home page. Love the pink and yellow and the photo is adorable.
Wonderful journaling. I really try to seize the moments now they are little, but still: Time just flies by and there's nothing one can do about it :-(. I watch Ada sometimes at night while she's sleeping, thinking: Oh my, very surely your last baby ...
Susan this is beautiful! I know the feeling of looking at these photos, since I am doing my daughter's this age as well. It's very emotional! And unfortunatly, the photos from the 70's most all discolored, they have an orange cast to them. With a photo editor though, most can be corrected. This is wonderful - I love love love all the buttons!!
Ohhh, Susan this is just beautiful in every way possible!!! Straight to faves, I love the photo, the colours, the flourishes, buttons, clock, title...I think that's everything on your page lol!!!
Beautiful LO - I love the colors you chose. They are sweet and dainty. I understand about scanning pics...my oldest was born in 1973!!! I wish I had taken better care of the photos. TFS - Ginger
Love the colour scheme of this. The soft pinks and yellows go so well together. There are a lot of little details in this one...and it was worth it. I love the little felt flourishes and the finish of the paper you used for the title makes it look almost like felt. Gorgeous! Straight to my faves!
My DD, Traci at 3 months. I had to scan the photo and tried to make repairs. Who would have thought that photos from 1975 would change colors?? I wanted to keep it girly with the pink, but I also wanted to highlight the cute little yellow sundress she's wearing. I used lots of buttons on this and the pink dots are actually 3-d paint. the clock face is a Heidi Swapp clear stamp on a transparency. The scalloped edges are done with the Martha Stewart scallop edge punch. Journaling is tucked behind the photo and reads:
It’s amazing the feelings and emotions that I have when I sort through some of our old photos. It brings back so many memories. You were my firstborn. I thought that I knew everything about caring for a baby, but I was wrong. Being a full time mama was nothing like the babysitting I did as a teenager. You were so tiny. You only weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and I was so scared that I’d “break” you. I spent hours each day just holding you and rocking you. I totally ignored the housework. I couldn’t bear to be away from you. I even moved you from room to room with me. Your Daddy stayed home with us the first week. He would get up with you at night and he was always the one to prepare your bottles. When he went back to work the next week, I had to call him and ask how to prepare your bottle! You had thrush for a while and didn’t eat like you needed to. In this photo, you were about 3 ½ months old…and you only weighed about 11 pounds. It really does “seem like yesterday” that I was holding you…and now you’re grown and have a son of your own…where did the time go? Traci - 3 months - May 1975
